Courtyard by Marriott Titusville Kennedy Space Center

The rooftop Space Bar was a neat place, and the staff there were very friendly. It’s not especially space-themed beyond being on the roof and serving space-inspired drinks. Our room faced toward the launch pad, which would make for a spectacular view on launch day. There were all sorts of space-related objects in the room, but I’ll leave those discoveries for other guests. The hotel was clean and well kept, and the room felt updated and comfortable. I was impressed overall, though the front desk woman left something to be desired. Their signboard listed a launch that day, and at check-in they confirmed it. I looked it up and asked again later, thankfully, because otherwise I’d have gotten up at 3 a.m. for a launch in California.

We ended up watching a rocket launch from the Space Bar, which was an unforgettable surprise. It’s a great place to have a beer during happy hour, and the space-themed details in the spacious, very quiet rooms are a nice touch. Check-in was warm, smooth, and easy. This Courtyard will definitely be my go-to for future cruises.

I paid extra for a river-view room and loved seeing dolphins and pelicans catching their supper. The area is a bit remote, but I liked it, and the room felt new, modern, and well appointed. We came because three rocket launches were scheduled; only one actually happened, but that didn’t spoil my short stay. The Space Bar seems perfect for launch watching, though I can imagine it getting crowded, which would be fine since everyone’s there for the same reason. The launch that did happen was late at night, after the bar had closed, but guests could still get in with their room key. I’d happily return.

The area was quiet, and the pool was nice. The rooms were clean and pleasant, though a bit pricey, with no complimentary breakfast. Food at the hotel cost way too much, even the coffee. Aside from that, it was a decent stay. Playa Linda is a decent beach about a 20-minute drive away. If you’re interested in space stuff, this is probably a good spot with Kennedy Space Center so close.
