I only picked this motel because it was the cheapest place around, the other hotels were sold out, and I was too tired to keep driving. I’d stayed here before when my son's mother parents visited, and those second-floor rooms smelled the same. So when the desk offered to move me after I reported the moldy smell, I said no. I’d already plugged in my phone, and I didn’t think another room would be any better. I went out to see friends and family, then came back and asked for spare keys twice because I couldn’t find mine. I also asked for extra towels. Later I told the night auditor I’d had to use my own cleaning supplies because there was hair on the bathroom wall when I went to shower. I asked if they could comp the room because of the smell and cleaning problem, but he said no and gave me a “nice try.” I mentioned I’ve worked in hotels and still do, and that places I’ve worked would offer points or a free room voucher for complaints like these. I thanked him and left. The lobby plaque said room service costs $9, too. When I went to the desk in the morning for more towels, they told me I’d checked out at 4:00 p.m. the day before. I asked how that could be, since I’d been at the desk about changing rooms and then decided to stay. The woman who checked me in said there had been too many complaints at the desk and I was asking for too much. I told her I was complaining about the room’s condition. She got aggressive, said I’d forfeited my deposit under their bylaws, and picked up the phone while insisting she was calm. I told her to calm down. My ride had been meant to wait under the pavilion, but parked in the back instead, so I walked out that way and left. At check-in I’d also asked the rate for that night. The employee said it would be much more expensive, $200, to book through them than through a third party company. The third-party company is in France. I think the people behind the desk are scamming guests and residents who live at the motel, and I believe they’re hackers who will steal card details and rip people off. I was appalled by how desperate the management seemed for money. There was no customer service that could set this motel apart, and I’d never want to go through this again or have anyone else experience it.

We booked the hotel for our whole vacation and lost the full amount after they refused to refund us. My wife and I checked out right away and found another hotel because this place was so nasty. There were roaches everywhere, the indoor smell was awful, and the bathroom had mildew and water stains. The bed looked like it belonged in the 1930s. The exterior doors didn’t work unless you picked the lock, and the room latch was broken, so there was no security. Electrical wires were sticking out of the wall, too. The pictures online looked decent, but this was nowhere near that. I understand not every hotel is five-star, but this was ridiculously dirty and had serious health and safety violations. Definitely don’t stay here.

We arrived today after booking through trivago deals and getting a confirmation three days ago, but the place is shut down. The waitress at the Denny’s next door said it had been closed for months. They haven’t refunded my money, so I’ll have to dispute the charge through my bank. Don’t book here.

The worst part is that we’re still itching from bedbug bites 24 hours later. We only stayed because it was cheaper, and by the time we got back it was so late that we didn’t cut our losses and leave. The room had bedbugs and cockroaches, and the carpet beneath the AC was wet in a six-foot circle from a leak. The shower drained badly, leaving about a quarter inch of water across the bathroom floor and spilling from the tile onto the carpet. Everything felt wet and musty, and the hallways reeked of mold. The sheets were stained and had cigarette burns. We asked for replacement bedding more than once, but even the “new” set had burns and stains. The hotel’s “deposit” costs more than a night’s stay. DO NOT STAY HERE.
