Best Western Topaz Lake Inn

The staff were lovely, and both the rooms and beds were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was the weak point. It wasn't good, and it definitely didn't count as a full breakfast. They should check that the food is fresh and add some fruit, even just bananas or apples. Still, we had an awesome stay overall.

I liked that breakfast had eggs, sausage, waffles, breads, yogurt, and almond milk. There was enough for my gluten-free diet. The check-in was pleasant, and they suggested the casino next door for dinner. I avoid casinos because of cigarette smoke, though another guest told me the meal there was excellent. The room gave this old grandma lots of space, with a lovely view of Topaz Lake and the mountains. I spotted a big gazebo with a BBQ at the far end of the grounds and wished I'd known, so I could have brought dinner out to eat there. The hot tub looked inviting, and roses were blooming around the property. I'll stay here again when I visit family and friends.

We drove down from California overnight to see our grandmother, who was on her deathbed, and found the Best Western Topaz on Expedia. Check-in wasn't until 3, but we arrived around 11:30 or midnight and there was nobody to receive us. I knocked, and the whole ground floor was open to walk through with no one around to help. My 8-year-old and I had to spend the night in our vehicle. When I asked for my money back, the Topaz Best Western refused. They left us unable to check in and wouldn't refund us. I never write bad reviews, but I hope this helps people decide whether to stay at the Best Western in Topaz Lake, Nevada. If I could give zero stars, I would.

They knew my room had bed bugs and rented it to me anyway. I stayed four days a while back and got badly bitten. I told the front desk when I checked out, but they did nothing and refused to make it right.
