Hotel Topock66

The pool looked like a great place, and this was a convenient halfway stop for us between Havasu and Vegas. We were excited to try it, but it turned into such a disappointment. Our food took over an hour to arrive. Rene was kind and kept apologizing for the delay, but the manager could see we still had no food and seemed more focused on counting the money she had collected from the till. They didn't even take the bowl of chilli off our tab, and the manager never spoke with us. We'll only ever stop at Pirates Cove.

After a long day of driving, I pulled in feeling doubtful, but the place surprised me. The beds were wonderful, the TV was huge, and the towels were the best we had on our two week vacation. It's every bit as good as a 5 Star Hotel and 100% worth it. We'd love to bring our grandchildren here for a few days. Thanks for the hospitality, can't wait to come back!

The restaurant staff were great and accommodating, but meals and drinks here cost a lot. You can't bring in outside food or drink, a shot of tequila was $12.50, and a shrimp cocktail with 8 shrimp cost $18.99. They couldn't make a quality cocktail either, with no orange bitters for an Old Fashioned or a Manhattan. There was no top shelf alcohol, yet Jack was priced as if it were top shelf. Some of our guests even had unexplained charges over $1000 on their cards. We won't make this mistake again. We paid $200 a night for brand new, VERY nice rooms, but the hot water and shower pressure were both missing. The place also completely shuts down at night. We'd booked because we'd read about a pool with a swim up bar, a band, and food, but all of that ended at 5. After that, there was no one around besides hotel guests.

A fantastic new hotel right on the Colorado River in Topock, with big rooms and a beautiful pool. What a great start to our Route 66 trip!
