Quality Inn & Suites Toppenish - Yakima Valley

We stopped for a night on the way home to Utah, and I wish we hadn't. We were put in room 122, which smelled awful. The sheets were stained, and strange noises kept me awake all night. It was creepy. They charged me $190 for the night even though the online rate was $108.

The hot tub in the room was the best part, and everything was comfortable and clean. The front desk guy was helpful, and my Fiance and I had no complaints. It felt like home, and we'll definitely stay again. Just remember to bring your own toothpaste and toothbrush.

The staff were amazing and moved us to another room right away when our bathtub gave us trouble. My main issue was that the second room was pretty dirty. The first one was clean enough that I wouldn't have thought twice about it, but the second had a gross table, food and sticky stuff on the floor, a disgusting ice bucket, and old sticky pop all over the bag inside it. The floor hadn't been swept or mopped in a while. The mattresses were paper thin and felt like something from an old motel, maybe even the kind with those old vibrators attached, lol. I guess that's what you get at a cheap motel or hotel, but at $150 a night I expected a cleaner room or a better mattress. Still, I'd stay again if I were in the area.

We came here instead of our usual B&B because we wanted to soak in the hot tub. It was a total letdown: the tub was broken, the ice machine was broken too, and the laundry wasn't working, though we didn't need it. The $200 deposit really floored me. I've stayed at some very nice high-end hotels and never had to pay that, let alone at a small-town motel. The guy at the front counter had such a strong Eastern Indian accent that I could hardly understand him. I don't blame him, but I feel people working the front counter in the US should be understandable. Rant over!
