Hatch House Bed & Breakfast

My mom and I came to Towanda to visit family this week, and I really didn’t want to stay in a hotel. The day before we left, I broke my foot and ended up in a walking boot. Michelle and Roger were so accommodating, and Michelle even brought me an ice pack to soothe it while I rested. The house is stunning, every room is beautifully decorated, and the care they put into their home and guests shows in all the little details. Our room worked perfectly for Mom and me, and the new bathrooms are lovely. Even with some rain, we got to enjoy the gorgeous outdoor spaces, including the pool. Thanks again, Michelle and Roger. I can’t wait to see you and Mabel in a couple of months.

Michelle Hatch was such a welcoming host and made a wonderful breakfast. The house itself is gorgeous, and my room and the location were great. The cat and dog were a nice part of the stay, too. Everything was spectacular, and I’m already looking forward to coming back.

I stopped in while working to ask about booking something for my wife on Valentine’s Day. The owner, who I assume was the owner, greeted me by saying I couldn’t park there. There weren’t any signs saying that, and it didn’t feel friendly at all. I’ll take my business elsewhere and plan Valentine’s Day for my wife somewhere else. I don’t get how a place with that attitude is so highly rated.

Hatch House felt like visiting relatives instead of staying somewhere unfamiliar. Melissa and Roger were both very friendly, and Melissa made a delicious full breakfast from scratch on our schedule. The front room chair was so comfortable I nearly fell asleep in it. The house is clearly set up for parties, and if you get the chance, even for a meal, you should visit. We found Hatch House at the last minute on our way into New England, liked it so much that we changed our return route to stay again, and booked the Bradford Room both times. The bed was comfy, the little closet was adorable, the bathroom was clean and the water hot. We wanted to delay our trip another night, but couldn’t. I’ve saved the place on my map, and we’ll stay here whenever we drive into New England. The photos are out of order because I took them across both visits. The weather and light were good on different days, and I didn’t have much energy on the first trip after driving 14 hours.
