Marriott St. Louis West

We were a party of 18, and they took great care of us. The breakfast was good, especially the omelettes, and Essence the chef deserves a thank you. Ryan checked us in with a great attitude after our trip to St. Louis, and Joe from housekeeping was just as positive when he brought our towels. Everyone was hospitable and helpful, and we loved the stay.

The whole hotel seemed well kept, and our room was clean and comfortable. Since it was a slower time, they offered us a free upgrade. The staff were incredibly nice, and we had a great stay. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a place in west Saint Louis.

The area around the hotel was nice, and the staff were great. They also had complimentary water bottles in the lobby and were accommodating with our large group of sports families and kids hanging out. The hotel itself was dated but seemed well maintained. My only photo was the late-night pizza my young daughter ordered after the museum. She ate every bit and said it was the best ever, ha!

The rooms were clean, modern, and roomy, with free water bottles in the room and lobby. But the toilet stayed backed up for three days, and they didn't restock the hand towels. I mentioned it at checkout, and the only response was, "Oh sorry," before the person went back to typing. I didn't report it sooner because housekeeping should have noticed if they'd actually looked. One night there was a class reunion, and everyone had to walk through the gathering to reach the elevator. Their sign-in table was oddly placed right beside it. I usually do a detailed hotel review with a black light, photos, and a look under the furniture. We were there for a family emergency, so I wasn't focused on the hotel. I recommend it, just don't expect friendly service.
