Hampton Inn Greenville/Travelers Rest

The staff were so sweet, and the location made it easy to walk to lots of places, just across from the quaint downtown area. I’d absolutely stay again. This is hands down the best Hampton Inn I’ve stayed at. The upgrades made it a pleasure: the king suite had a kitchenette and a full-size fridge, which surprised me since I usually find a mini fridge. I travel with my own food for dietary reasons, so that was a real find. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom felt luxurious, with digital Bluetooth LED mirrors, a heated towel rack, and an electric toilet with a heated seat and bidet.

Dianca was kind, attentive, and upbeat every time I interacted with her. The whole staff was great, and the hotel was well kept. This was simply the best Hampton Inn I’ve stayed at. The location and excellent service are what you can count on when you book here.

There’s plenty of lobby space to get work done, and Honors members get complimentary snacks. In the afternoon, there’s also a big dish of cookies. My room was clean, spacious, and modern, with a comfortable bed. Parking, hot breakfast, and fast Wi-Fi were all free, and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. A really exceptional stay.

I stayed here for its proximity to where I needed to be the next day, but next time I’ll go to a cleaner, more upscale hotel in downtown Greenville. The place smelled bad as soon as we came through the front door. In the room, there was a peanut M&M and other debris on the floor, a couple of towels with unpleasant yellow stains, and several differently colored stains on the desk chair. The cleaning staff clearly hadn’t been very attentive. We’d planned to use the free breakfast, but chose to pay to eat somewhere else. Hampton Inns are generally near the low end of the hotels I’ll choose, though usually fine. This one fell short.
