Howard Johnson by Wyndham Traverse City

We found bed bugs in the first room. The second room they moved us to had water inside the ceiling light fixture. We sent pictures of the bugs to the email address they gave us and expected at least a partial refund, but none has come. I'm extremely disappointed and disgusted. I used to recommend this hotel and stay here myself, but after this horrible experience I'll never return. Stay somewhere else.

The woman at the desk was nice, but we found ants and little bugs in the bathroom. After lying on the beds, we started itching and saw little red spots all over our hips and legs. We didn't want to check, but did, and found tiny bugs bunched together in the bed creases and under the sheets. I've got plenty of pictures.

The rooms are small, and the pictures are misleading. The walls were smoke-stained, a lampshade was burnt, and our first room had no sheets and unclean towels. We ended up switching rooms, and the water was rusty. It felt like an old Super 8 motel.

The room was really nice, and breakfast was beautiful and satisfying. I was happy to find this place and would gladly come back anytime. There was a toaster for the waffles and pancakes, plus boiled eggs, cereal, hot tea, and coffee.
