The only snag was that the pool and hot tub heaters weren’t working for part of our stay, but they fixed them. Otherwise, it’s a great, modern place in a great spot across from the beach.

We stayed in unit 310 at Palms of Treasure Island from September 12-16, 2025, and had a terrible ordeal. The third-floor unit does have a great view of the intercoastal waterway and pool, but the problems disrupted our four-night vacation. There were hundreds of ants in the living room and kitchen. We killed them for the first three days. Maintenance responded quickly with spray, but it didn’t fully fix the problem. Black mold was visible on the kitchen and bathroom ceiling vents. Maintenance promptly cleaned the outside of the vents, but it left us wondering what might be behind them in the duct system. On the first night, water from every valve smelled strongly of sulfur and made all of us feel sick. When we called maintenance for the third time, they said the unit had been unrented for two weeks and the hot water tank might be acting up. They told us to run hot water through all the showers and sinks for ten minutes to let the system adjust. These issues should have been caught in a thorough cleaning and inspection before we arrived, instead of us spending our vacation dealing with them. The guest shower was disgusting, with large clumps of hair clogging the drain, soap scum all over the walls and glass doors, and filthy floor tiles. It clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned or inspected. The iTrip team offered a refund for one day, before taxes and fees, which was about a fifth of what we paid. People I spoke with in the vacation rental industry generally agreed that even one of these serious issues should warrant a full refund. We were very unhappy, though we tried to be supportive of the maintenance team so these problems could be fixed before the next guests arrived.
It’s a very nice, clean place in a safe area, with a Publix right next door. Beach access is down the street. We’d definitely stay here again.
The view from room 209 was outstanding, and we spent the whole week on the balcony rather than inside. We never even turned on the TV. We bought all our meals at Publix and cooked on the grill each night. The pool was great, and everything we needed was in the room. The beach is across the street, and there’s good food nearby. We also saved on parking, saw dolphins from the room, and thought the condo was a great place to stay. I’ll definitely come back. For families, the $89 package with bikes, kayaks, beach toys, and chairs is well worth it. The one real downside was that the internet never worked, and there was a frat party in room 109 downstairs.
The view of the ocean was nice, and the beach, Publix, and restaurants were all a short walk away. But getting into the building was a mess. Our instructions said to enter on the north side, which was completely blocked off because of construction. No workers were around, so we wandered through the parking area until we found a keypad door. Once inside, the lobby was empty and the elevator was broken. I had to text someone to find out how to get upstairs. There were no stairs in the lobby and no signs or directions on the broken elevator, though that information should have been in our check-in instructions. A worker eventually showed us the stairwell, and we hauled all our luggage up three flights. When we got to the unit, I was appalled. The furniture and bar stools were stained, the knife holder looked dirty and gross, the dishwasher hadn’t been emptied, the showerhead was corroded, and the sliding glass door was unbelievably filthy. The building and units are very old and badly need updating.
