Ebb Tide

I liked the shared area with hammocks and grills, especially relaxing in a hammock after my morning walks. It’s a quiet spot, right across the street from the beach, with a Publix about a mile down the road and other places within reach. The staff are kind and help with what you need. I chose Ebb Tide because it was affordable, and the current pictures don’t really show how nice the updated Inn is. I appreciated having a kitchenette with a small oven and stovetop because of my dietary restrictions. I’d recommend it, especially for a longer stay. Excuse the mess, I was packing to leave.

The rooms are great and the location is great, but please don’t advertise amenities you can’t provide. My wife has bad knees and can’t walk on sand anymore, so all she wanted was a room near the beach with a pool. That’s what I booked, but we couldn’t use the pool. The pool heater was broken, and we couldn’t believe how cold the water was.

The beach is right across the road, and there are hammocks and grills on site for guests. The kitchenette has everything, from dishes and pots and pans to silverware, plus a proper refrigerator with a separate freezer. It’s small, but not one of those little cubes. There’s a four-burner stove, a small oven, and a microwave. I’d booked somewhere else originally, but got there, found it so bad, and walked out. Finding Ebb Tide Inn was such a relief. Everything here is new and nice. Best deal on the beach, and don’t miss it!

We loved the room, but wouldn’t return. People were shouting and screaming at night, and the office is closed in the late evening and overnight. We have timeshares on Treasure Island beach, but this time we stayed just one night. The rooms have been completely renovated because of last year’s hurricane damage.
