A good room comes with a great view, a nice pool, a tiki bar, and a great beach. But the individually owned rooms aren’t all equal, some are good and some aren’t. My cousin goes here often and loves it, so several years ago we had our wedding guests stay here. Many were disappointed, with dirty rooms and broken items, and the staff didn’t seem to care.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, including when I called down for an extra blanket because it was chilly. The room was clean and fairly spacious, with a kitchenette that would be useful for a week-long vacation. There wasn’t much closet space or room for folded clothes, with few drawers and no real dresser. I stayed for a work trip about a month after Hurricane Milton. The hotel seemed to be in the middle of some renovation. It’s centrally located for shopping, restaurants, and the places I needed to visit for work. I’m moving to the area soon and would highly recommend it to guests or family looking for an oceanfront hotel at a reasonable rate.

The location is great and the panoramic views are beautiful, but we wouldn’t stay here again. The building and rooms are outdated and run-down, and would need a major renovation to meet basic standards. Cleanliness and service were far below what we expected. Our room didn’t seem to have been cleaned or prepared properly. We found cobwebs and dirty dishes, and there were only two large towels for four people. There was also just one nearly used-up roll of toilet paper. The tap water was heavily chlorinated and irritated my young daughter’s eczema-prone skin. I can provide photos showing how her skin was affected if needed. We reported the problems. The property offered us another room for the next day, but it didn’t include parking, which would have meant extra costs for us. That wasn’t a helpful or realistic solution.

If you’re after a cheap hotel on the beach, this is your place, but that’s about where the positives end. The room was clean, the beach was nice, and it was right on the beach. It was also cheap. I won’t be back. We had no internet or TV, which wasn’t a big deal since I could just hang out at the beach. The mattress was extremely hard, and there was no hot water, just lukewarm at best. The pool water was warmer, it had to be at least 90. At night I accidentally parked in the city lot about 10 feet from the building and got a ticket, even though my hotel tag was visible. That’s mostly my fault, but the hotel should have clarified parking at check-in. At checkout I raised the issues, and the desk employee said she’d told us where to park. She hadn’t, she’d only said to put the pass in the windshield or the hotel would give a warning. She didn’t mention the city lot right next to the hotel. She also said I should have mentioned the hot water problem. Not sure what they were going to do, install a new one that night, lol.

For nearly $700 for two nights, I expected hot water at least. When I called about having none, they said they’d had hot water problems since the hurricane and told me to run the sink and bathroom faucet at the same time and hope for the best. There was also no parking at all, so don’t drive if you plan to stay here. The front desk rep was rude and unpleasant when we checked in, like we were bothering her. That set the tone for the stay right away.
