Swashbuckler Motel

Even with a decent price and the beach close by, I wouldn't stay here. The cleaning was lacking, there was an old rusted fridge, and the studio door didn't close properly. We had to cut our stay short after finding bugs crawling on the bed and the wall it was against. We're still waiting to hear how management plans to resolve the fact that we had to leave. Skip this place, it wasn't worth the hassle.

Dave was a great host, and the clean hotel had everything we needed for our trip. The beach is right across the street, and there are several seating setups around the pool. It worked well for a couple or a family with kids. My daughter celebrated her birthday here and made a memory we'll never forget. We most definitely will be back. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable!

We'd booked this for friends after staying at the Marriott across the street, and when they decided to join us at the last minute, the motel owner gave them a great room at a great rate. It was clean and nicely decorated, with a great pool area and lots of seats. Beach chairs and floats were free to use across the street. At a much more affordable price, I'd rather have stayed here than at the Marriott.

The Swashbuckler Motel has that old Florida feel, with a fabulous beach just across the street and dining and nightlife only a few blocks away in either direction. It's a good value. Every room has its own personality, and although the furnishings aren't new, they're chic. The bedding is very nice and the linens are super comfortable. There's a wonderful pool in the middle of the property, with plenty of bikes and scooters to rent. If you want the beach and some old Florida charm without spending a pocket full of money, I'd absolutely recommend it.
