The Roth Hotel

We liked the quieter setting at the Roth Hotel and had a lovely January stay. The room was clean and comfortable, especially the bed, and the kitchenette was handy for breakfast and tea in the evening. We enjoyed the beach at Treasure Island, the waterway view from our canal-side room, and walking around the area. Staff didn’t intrude, which suited us since we never needed their help. A few things could be better in the room: the bathroom is small, could use more shelves and a light above the shower, and has no exhaust fan, though that didn’t seem to cause any problems. The bigger issue was the area. Hurricane damage was still visible, including broken or missing sections of boardwalk, and there aren’t many restaurants on Treasure Island. We had to drive a short way to St. Pete’s Beach or elsewhere to eat. We’d recommend the Roth Hotel for a quiet stay and don’t regret choosing it. Next time, though, we may pick somewhere with more restaurants and shops within walking distance, like St. Pete’s Beach or Pass-a-Grille.

We had a beautiful, clean, spacious room for our weekend celebrating my husband’s birthday. The hotel also provided beach chairs and umbrellas, and the beach and places to eat are within walking distance. They left us a cute sticker, a postcard to take home, and adorable pink souvenir cups. We loved our stay, can’t wait to come back, and will recommend it to our friends.

Our five-night, six-day stay at the Roth Hotel Boutique was a real treat. The tropical courtyard is adorable and sets a relaxed mood as soon as you arrive. There’s lots of outdoor seating overlooking the waterway, perfect for sunrise, and the pool is a nice size, inviting, and never overcrowded. The hotel is clean, safe, well updated, and close to good restaurants and entertainment. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout. We were in Room 7, with lovely waterway views. It was spacious and thoughtfully arranged, with a living room and queen pullout couch, a small kitchen and dining area, a separate bedroom with an extremely comfortable king bed, and a well-appointed bathroom. The beach is just one block away, making it easy to catch the beautiful sunsets. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Roth Hotel Boutique for a charming, relaxing getaway.

We only wish we’d had longer to explore, especially with Fort De Soto Park and St. Petersburg just a short drive away. There are restaurants nearby and a well-stocked supermarket up the road, too. The Roth made our February school break with two young kids feel special. Our room was spotless and nicely furnished, and the pool was lovely. From the back deck we could watch the sunrise and spot herons, dolphins, and sea turtles over coffee. The beach was less than a five-minute walk through a quiet neighborhood. Everyone we met, from the staff to other guests and nearby residents, was warm and considerate. It was a spectacular little hotel, and a perfect place for our family trip. We’ll be back.
