We've been here two months as monthly renters, and I'm trying to find somewhere else before we're left on the street. The groundskeeper demanded money early even though we'd confirmed the payment date, and wanted us out a day before it was due. The original arrangement had been fine. We were also promised a room with a kitchenette for $1400, but got a single bed room with a bath and no way to cook for that same amount. Online they advertise a usable pool, but it was green bog water. The beds are remade instead of the bedding being washed. Look under them and you'll find food, fingernails, toenails, and other nasty things. There were people doing drugs and drinking excessively on the grounds, police visits, and cockroaches and bedbugs, which they deny even though I have photographic evidence. The owner and employees have been ignorant, and I feel like they'll screw you at any chance. I'm leaving as soon as I find a place to live besides the street.

The owner was helpful even before we booked, and the employees were pleasant too. We spent two nights here in August and would come back in a heartbeat. Our room was large and immaculate, and the kitchenette made a big difference since one of us has major eating restrictions and couldn't eat out. Highly recommend if you need an affordable place near Bar Harbor.

Katherine and her staff were so friendly, and it's nice that the owner lives on site. She treats the place like home because it is her home. I came alone as a woman to hike and explore Acadia, and felt very safe here. My smaller room was always clean, and the refrigerator and microwave worked great, so I used them every day. It was a great price for my budget, too. I already miss this beautiful place, and I'll stay here again when I come back to Acadia.

The housekeeping ladies were incredibly kind and kept helping me find things my kids had hidden in the room. Seriously, they're the nicest cleaning staff I've ever met. The hotel has comfortable rooms near bar harbor and Ellsworth, plus a lovely play area out back. There was a pool, but constant rain meant we couldn't enjoy it. If you're going to Acadia, please stay here!

The staff were friendly and always said hello, and our room was really clean. Housekeeping made the bed every day, and the bathroom was pristine. My husband and I stayed here while exploring Acadia, and the location near the park was great for the price. I was concerned about noise because it's near an airport, but there was absolutely none over Labor Day weekend. We'd recommend it.
