Gravity Haus Truckee-Tahoe

The welcome area is comfortable and inviting, and it worked well for laptop time or a card game. We had two small kids with us and booked the largest room. The futon wasn't the comfiest bed, but it suited our family of four. Our room also had an electric kettle, microwave, mini fridge, small sink, and basic reusable dishes, which we appreciated. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. A doctor I visit in the area recommended this place. The rooms are modern and very clean, and we liked the feel of the property. Little things such as salted caramels at check-in, bagged tea and coffee in the room, optional local products for sale, and attention to sustainability stood out. The grocery store is close, and downtown is a quick drive. One small note: the hallway vacuum started before 9 a.m. We get up early, so it didn't bother us, but sound carries, and I might have been frustrated if I'd wanted to sleep in. We'll definitely stay again and recommend it to friends.

Breakfast was convenient and affordable, and the staff were generally friendly. Our room was spacious, with coat hooks in place of a closet, though there's no elevator to the rooms, so pack light. We lost power once when using the electric kettle and then again for no apparent reason. Since nobody answered the phone, I had to go to the front desk twice to ask them to reset the breaker. The electrical trouble and unanswered calls took away from an otherwise good stay.

Bailey and the team at Stella made us a delicious dinner, and our two golden retrievers were comfortable in the accommodations. My husband and I had a fabulous staycation at Gravity Haus. Ian put us in his favorite room when we first arrived, and Scott and all the room staff gave us impeccable service. Thanks to everyone. We'll definitely be back!

We had a peaceful, welcoming stay and could really unwind in the serene setting. The room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with cozy nooks, evening lights, and charming decor that gave the place a luxurious feel. Safety felt thorough, too, so we could relax. The food and drinks were excellent, made with fresh ingredients and presented creatively. Staff were helpful and accommodating, including when they assisted us with planning a surprise celebration. Everything from the service to the accommodations made for an extraordinary weekend. We'll definitely return.
