The cabin had plenty of room, with privacy between the bedrooms, and the common area felt cozy around the fireplace. Food and appetizers were waiting when we arrived. I stayed at Campfire Ranch in winter and paired the visit with a snowboarding snow cat day with Pacific Crest Snowcats! It's a lovely place for a family reunion or a gathering with friends, and a great spot to make memories. The Tahoe mountains are beautiful, and this is an ideal place to slow down and reset. I'd highly recommend it for a peaceful mountain getaway.

The owner was cheerful and friendly, and the chef took great care of what we needed. The food was yummy, and it was a great setup for our group of snowboard ladies, with access to premier ski and snowboard terrain. Staff were fine with our morning warm-up dance party and conga line, ha! The clean, comfy lodge felt charming and cozy, like stepping into another time, while still having internet. I loved my stay and can't wait to return.

Getting into the Tahoe backcountry took some effort, but no weather could stop us from trekking in. It was quite an adventure and absolutely worth it. Campfire Ranch is doing incredible work, with amazing food, great vibes, a stunning location, and iconic decor. The hut/lodge was an incredible place to stay while exploring. Hope to come back soon.

Ian and Sam were friendly, rad, and accommodating. Waking up to a big pot of fresh coffee and coming back to delicious dinners every night made the stay even better. Campfire Ranch is a cozy, comfy backcountry lodge in the woods, with great terrain right out the back door. I had an awesome time and can't wait to return.

The hutkeeper was friendly and knew the area well, and kept our large group well fed with good food and generous portions. The lodge itself was comfortable. Lost Trail is a simple, easy-approach option for spending backcountry time with friends or family, and the varied terrain works for both beginners and experts. I hope I get back there.
