Luxury Village at Northstar Residence w/ Ski Valet - Northstar Lodge 304

We did enjoy our stay, and the two bedroom room was clean, spacious, and had comfortable beds. Still, I probably wouldn't return unless some things are updated. Our third-floor room faced construction equipment and sat right beside crews and tractors making a lot of noise all day. We came for our 18th anniversary, and it felt like they could have made the stay more special by placing us on the quieter side of the building. The TVs aren't smart TVs and have very few channels. I asked about this because the workout room has a smart TV, but was told it had different management. For a 5 star hotel, I think all the TVs should be updated. Even motel 6 has smart TVs!! The front desk staff didn't seem very invested in giving guests a high-quality experience, though they were keen to promote the presentation. After paying $45 per day for the resort fee and $40 per day for parking, housekeeping also costs extra if you want it. I feel they should update some things. I don't think I'd ever attend a presentation after this stay.

The activity center woman was amazing with my children, though I can't remember her name. Everyone was super friendly and kind, and the service was really good. We stayed in a huge, quiet two bedroom in September 2025 with my 2 month old, 4 and 6 year olds. The unit was clean and well stocked. We love Tahoe in the off season and will absolutely come back!

The resort has a shopping center, and the location is great. There are walking trails for everyone with excellent views, a nice way to enjoy nature within the resort area. The pools and hot tubs are excellent too. I'll come back any time!

Customer service was really poor and inconsistent throughout. I spent an hour on the phone, then canceled the trip without ever vacationing here. We had booked a trip with multiple provider coworkers after being offered a special rate in exchange for attending a time share presentation. An unforeseen issue meant I couldn't check in on the original date, only early the next day. They said I could no longer attend the presentation as scheduled and would have to go the following day, even though that disrupted my plans. They then asked whether I was married, what my credit score was, and whether my income exceeded $100,000. They said the special offer no longer applied because, if I was married, my husband had to attend the presentation, even though he wasn't on the trip. One person said the trip couldn't be refunded; another said she'd do me a “favor” and override the refund. I asked if the booking could be switched to regular pricing, but was told I'd lose the payment and have to pay again. When I asked the room price for my dates, the woman said she didn't know and told me to search the website. It's truly unfortunate. My credit score and income do meet the requirements, and I enjoy taking vacations, but I won't be staying at Hyatt or recommending it to colleagues or friends anymore.
