Yolanda at the front desk made our stay unforgettable. She greeted us so warmly that it felt more like being welcomed by family than checking into a hotel. She helped us get settled and added thoughtful touches so we felt well looked after. Her kindness, professionalism, and upbeat attitude turned a great visit into an amazing one. Service like hers is rare, and she’s a real gem. We felt valued throughout our stay and will remember how welcome she made us feel. We’ll absolutely be back. I had a wonderful time at the Trumbull Marriott Shelton and highly recommend it.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and being able to walk to several stores was convenient during my three-night work trip in Connecticut. My room was clean, though pretty standard and not especially memorable. I also noticed a strange device on the door frame. It worried me at first, but a quick Google image search made it seem likely to be an HVAC sensor. I knew before arriving that the whirlpool was closed for maintenance. I didn’t see signs of repairs happening, though, so it may stay out of service for a while. There were also elevator problems. One of the three was already out of order, and all of them were temporarily shut down for maintenance on the second morning. I understand the technicians needed to work safely, and service came back quickly, but the middle elevator stayed out for the rest of my visit. Housekeeping was a bigger concern. When I returned to my room while staff were inside, the door was open and they let me walk in without checking that I was the guest. They were friendly, but someone else could have entered just as easily.

The room block arrangements were stress-free thanks to Noel, our organized and responsive main contact. Guests were also welcomed and looked after by the hotel staff when they checked in. For our wedding weekend, the Trumbull Marriott was an ideal base. Victor guided us through planning the welcome party, including putting together the right menu, and made sure every detail was covered. He was kind and helpful, and the evening ran smoothly and felt special for us and our guests. We’re grateful to the whole team for making the start of the weekend so easy. We highly recommend the hotel for wedding guests and pre-wedding events.

A blizzard left me and my girlfriend needing somewhere to stay for the night, and crashing here turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve made. The staff were amazing. Yolanda, you’re our mama bear for life. Jkjk about finding anyone who hurts her, but for real, we love you all and appreciate you. 🙏 P.S. This genuinely has us thinking about moving to Connecticut.
