Beachfront White Sands

The view when the tide goes way out at certain times of day was breathtaking. The beach is also much closer than ten minutes, despite what some earlier reviews say. My fiancée and my future mother-in-law stayed here with her five children. We found the hotel very clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly.

I was vacationing on my own and already stressed when my car broke down as soon as I arrived. The staff and owners were incredibly accommodating: they helped arrange for the car to be towed and let me stay two extra days at the last minute. It’s peaceful here, just far enough from town, with a quiet beach and a pool. I got four-star service and can’t wait to come back before the season ends.

The staff are great, the location is perfect, and the pool is clean and decent, though dated. The room is another story: ceiling trim used as baseboard, door casing used for baseboard, and the floor too. It looks like a homeowner tried to save money by doing a contractor’s job themselves, got cheered on, then moved on to the next room. They should give local contractors some work this winter, one room at a time. Still, you’re there for the beach and location, not to sit in the room, so I’d recommend it.

The nearby beach was no good, and the room was ordinary. The sheets hadn’t been changed. There’s only one person at reception, working from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. She’s willing to help, but seems constantly busy. At night and in the morning, the pool is closed off with a lock.
