Truro Beach Cottages

A lovely little spot, very clean and quiet at night. Perfect for a getaway!

The cottages are well kept and super clean, in a convenient spot. It’s away from the busy streets of Provincetown, but just a few minutes away by car.

Ptown is fun to visit, and the calm beaches and breeze made our getaway enjoyable. We had a great time overall, but some things could’ve gone better. The AC and fridge/freezer both stopped working at one point. Overnight the room got really uncomfortable, and the AC display showed "E4", which we assume was an error. We tried everything on the remote to get cold air, but nothing worked. The fridge still wasn’t cold the next morning. Luckily, we had no food that needed refrigeration. We used the fold-out couch, but it was a bit dirty when we set it up. The pillow covers had a few stains, including a small yellow mark that grossed us out, and some sheets had similar marks and didn’t seem properly cleaned. Reviews say the place is usually clean, but maybe it’s hit or miss. Check-in was listed as 4pm, and they seemed strict about it. We arrived at 3pm to see if early check-in was possible. A cleaning lady at another cottage was very kind and told us our cottage was all set, so it turned out we could go in early after all. It’s unfortunate that Truro service seemed unwilling to coordinate an early check-in. In my opinion, a bit more flexibility goes a long way toward getting a better review.

My wife and I had a great weekend getaway here. We were a little nervous with hurricane Dorian coming, but everything worked out well. Cottage number 2 suited us perfectly, with a living room and kitchen. We made breakfast each morning, then sat at the table and watched TV for a bit before heading out to explore. It had all the amenities we needed and was a comfortable stay, like our own little piece of paradise. The views of the bay from the beach were beautiful. A great place to stay and relax.
