The rooms were noisy, too. Thin walls, doors that didn't seal, and the AC meant we could hear the hallway and parking lot. Half the upstairs hall had a smell I couldn't identify, like dog poop, spoiled food, or something dead. Thankfully our room was at the other end and didn't smell. The keycard first failed because they'd given us the wrong room, but a worker outside quickly acknowledged the mistake and reissued it. Once inside, the queen beds we'd paid for were full size. The blankets and pillowcases had stains, one blanket was torn, and the sheets underneath were stained too. For pros, there was a toilet and toilet paper. I guess Motel 6 fits if you're broke or everything else is booked. TorC seemed run down generally, part of its charm, and I've seen Motel 6 places in other states just as bad or worse. After all that, writing this review mostly gives me a little vindication.

The room looked dirty and had some pretty bad problems. A curtain was coming off its rod over the window, and the smoke detector was falling apart, hanging off the wall. This Motel 6 would be near the bottom of the ones I've seen. I won't stay here again.

The noise went on all night. Other guests slammed doors and yelled down the hall, which echoed, and a front desk employee stayed in the hallway laughing with local friends past midnight. This was the worst hotel I've stayed in. My king room had only a sheet and one pillow, the towels were a dirty bathwater color though they'd once been white, and the tub was rusty and disgusting. It's a budget place, sure, but I would've felt safer and gotten more quiet sleeping in my car.

I've never stayed somewhere this filthy. I walked from the bathroom to the bed, then saw how dirty my foot had gotten. There was hair in the bed that wasn't mine. When I pointed out the condition to the person at the desk, he just shrugged.

There's a lot of space in the room, and the staff treated both me and my dog Snickers really well. McDonald's is right next door and Walmart is close by. A really nice place to stay.
