Omni Tucson National Resort & Spa

We held a conference here for about 50 people, and the business facilities and support for the room functions were excellent. There was plenty of space between the different events, which made everything work smoothly. I can't think of anything I would criticize about the facility. Our personal rooms were in one of the Hacienda’s, which was beautiful too. It was a bit of a hike to the main building, but the golf cart drivers were happy to take us whenever we needed a quick ride. The restaurants and food were excellent as well.

We had a spacious room with a sitting area, a large closet, and a roomy bathroom area. We're not golfers, so I can't comment on the course, but it was lovely to sit outside and watch people play. The Omni is in a great location and a wonderful resort. Service was great from the start, from the valet to the concierge Johnny and the reception staff. Most of the on-site restaurants were fantastic, with tasty food and great staff. One was disappointing for both food quality and service. We can highly recommend Bob's Steak house, the Desert Farmer, and the coffee shop.

The golf course and grounds make this a relaxing resort, with fresh air and endless mountain views. We stayed in a spacious Hacienda with a kitchenette and larger refrigerator. The room had a walk-in closet, a separate coat closet by the entrance, large windows, and a remote-controlled fireplace that was cozy on winter nights. The bathrooms were nice, though it took a while running the shower before the water got hot. The coffee machine and pods were disappointing, with low-end coffee. Most places have upgraded to Nespresso, so I'd bring my own coffee or get it from room service or the on-site cafe. It was hard to find the room service menu on the website, but we were pleased once we ordered. I had paid for a spa credit up front but couldn't use it because there were no appointments. Bob's steakhouse wasn't open every day either, so plan around that. The lounge bartender was courteous and had good suggestions. We enjoyed shuffleboard and the pool table at Legends, where the wait staff were attentive and the food was tasty. The resort is pet-friendly and worked well for shopping, with some great sites a short drive away.

The golf cart drivers were amazing and very accommodating. Housekeeping left us sweet congratulations macarons and made the bed with flower petals, which I thought was so thoughtful. The wedding dinner was the hard part. The meals were wrong, more than one guest complained, and the food tasted off. I was already on edge managing the kids, and even the glasses didn't make sense. I couldn't eat it, and it wasn't what we'd chosen, so I wouldn't have picked it if I'd had the option. The wait staff seemed to pour sparkling water on the tablecloth on purpose, and it got on my dress. When I pointed it out, she didn't apologize. Maybe she took offense because I was trying to keep the kids from breaking the wine glasses. My bad. I barely ate, just a few bites, and was upset and unable to eat even though I'm breastfeeding two kids and need to. I wanted at least my partner's and my mom's meals comped since we hardly ate. While I was nursing, wait staff stood and watched, making eye contact several times instead of turning away when I clearly turned away for privacy. That wasn't cool. I deserve some privacy in those moments.
