There were bed bugs during my stay, a drug raid, and two people died on separate occasions. This is what the mattress looked like when we got the room.

The location is convenient, with access to QT, Circle K, McDonald’s, Walmart, Domino’s, and Dollar Tree, as well as bus routes 34, 7, and 17. The stops and corners at intersections may be infested with homeless people, but please don’t let that discourage you from experiencing this gem in Tucson. It’s worth the money, and the prices don’t fluctuate or get insanely high. We’ve stayed maybe 5 or 6 times, for 3 to 4 days each time. We’re used to nicer hotels, but they accommodate you as much as they can. We love coming here and have met other traveling families and couples who stay here too. It’s our go-to in Tucson for many reasons. We love the staff, especially the hotel manager and one of the ladies with long blonde curly hair. They make you feel welcome and are super friendly. They keep the outside on the outside and are somewhat strict about who comes onto the property. My children are known by name and feel very safe playing outside here. We’ve never had a dirty room or sticky floors, and we’ve never seen roaches, rats, or any other creepy crawlers. We enjoy the rooms with Roku because the cable TV kind of sucks, and we like the overhead lights. The beds are comfortable, and the furniture gives the place a more modern feel. There’s staff on the property 24/7, and the hot water hits every time. I’ve never showered here without the water burning me. The pool was shut down, but we stayed during the colder months, so we didn’t really care if it was open or closed. Please be kind and considerate when approaching staff. Times are hard and everything costs more, and they’re doing their best to give you the best Motel 6 experience they can. I have faith the hotel manager will turn it into exactly what it needs to be, and he’ll always have our business.

The staff here are amazing and do everything they can to make sure you’re happy. Why stay anywhere else? This is the place to be!

The sign said Motel 6, and the rooms no longer match the pictures I currently see for this place on Google. We booked very last minute, and the property was being renovated while we were there. The floors, bed, and other furniture were nice and new. The old building plus renovation meant bugs, though I’ve seen worse. There definitely wasn’t enough parking, but the staff were super friendly and didn’t mind people parking in open spaces as long as no one blocked anyone else. The neighborhood wasn’t the greatest, but not the worst either. My car was loaded with camping equipment, and the walls around the parking lot made me more comfortable leaving it there. I’d stay again, especially for the price.

The room was in disgusting condition. It had burned blankets with stains, dingy filthy towels, a broken doorknob to the adjoining room, and a broken front door. It was the worst motel stay of my life. My reservation was for a double room with a 2:00pm check-in, but when we arrived, the woman said only a king was available. When I tried to cancel, she arranged to have a room cleaned, so we waited. I didn’t want to argue or find another room, so I took pictures and took a nap. When we woke up and tried to get ready for the event we were in town for, we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the shower. I sat on the bed and the corner fell into the frame. I called the front desk to ask them to fix it. The woman yelled that I should have reported the broken bed at check-in and accused me of having traffic in and out of my room, then hung up. I tried to explain that it had just broken. We never left the room after checking in late. She sent someone to fix it before we left, and they showed us how to turn on the shower. I called customer service to complain. My companion talked me into staying because we were tired and needed to get to the event. In the morning, two hours before checkout, I called the front desk and asked for the room to be checked because I no longer trusted the place and they had my credit card number. The same woman refused to send housekeeping. I asked for her name; she said “front desk.” When I asked if she was refusing to give her name, she said “Super 8,” then yelled that I could come to the front desk to talk to her. I refused because I didn’t want the conflict. I made another complaint to customer service and videotaped the room before leaving. I’ll probably never stay at a Super 8 again!
