Wyndham Tucson Airport Hotel & Conference Center

It was quiet, with a clean, comfortable room and a nice bed and pillows. We needed a couple of things, and the front desk got them to us quickly. The breakfast buffet was small but had a good variety, and we left full. We'd stay here again.

Eryn left her shirt behind after the ceremony, and we were fortunate to get Gina again. Gina put Eryn on hold while she checked with the cleaning staff, who had found and kept the shirt. That's not something you can count on at every hotel, and we're grateful to Gina for going above and beyond during our daughter's short visit. Eryn had flown in from Misawa AFB in Japan to surprise her dad, who was being promoted to Chief at DM AFB in Tucson. She arrived Thursday, Feb 27, but a flight delay meant I couldn't pick her up as planned. Her flight had been extremely long, so I went to the hotel with a homemade meal. Gina listened to what happened and kindly let me leave the food in Eryn's ready room. I explained that we'd kept Eryn's arrival secret from her dad for almost a month. Gina waited for Eryn to call and quickly arranged for the shuttle to pick her up.

The courtyard around the pool was lovely, a quiet place to think and breathe. But the condition of the halls and room was rough. They smelled musty, dank, and spoiled, and I wondered if bad weather such as a hurricane or tornado might have caused it. There was trash on the floors on the way to our room, and wet-looking towels were holding doors open in the hallways. I noticed large cracks in the marble floors, though the lobby looked decent. Maybe they are starting repairs there and working through the rest of the hotel. I'll post a few pictures. Until the place is cleaned up and ready, there are other lovely Wyndhams around. I usually try to write positive, informative reviews, but fellow travelers should get a true picture of this hotel.

my boyfriend and i had a pleasant quick stay here for one night. the front desk people were really friendly, and there were lots of restaurants and shops nearby. the price was great, too.
