Bay Cottage

The back porch was such a nice spot for coffee and a book, with a gorgeous view of the Bay. We had the beach to ourselves and went down a few times to look for shells and sand dollars. In April, the cottage was roomy and bright, and hummingbirds came by every day, which was a treat. Ed was always around for a chat, to check how things were going, or suggest places to eat and visit. We spent all our time enjoying PT, its Victorian homes, shops, and scenery, so never made it to Seattle. We loved our stay and will definitely want to come back to Bay Cottage for another relaxing vacation on the water.

Looking out over Discovery Bay, the property is beautiful, and staying at Bay Cottage feels like stepping back in time, with a simple charm. Ed, the owner, thought of everything: sherry for a nightcap, delicious homemade cookies, and pancake mix with their maple syrup in case you wanted some. A must-stay if you’re traveling to port Townsend. Well done, and thank you, from Shawn in Seattle and Paul in Boston.

The cottage was cosy and calming, and we enjoyed every minute of our recent week there. We’d wanted a break from reality late in our journey together, and Bay Cottage felt like a wonderful old romantic movie, almost too good to be real. Ed warmly welcomed us and treated us with care. He was a gracious host, with recommendations for places to eat and visit as well as help with the cottage. It’s close to Port Townsend, yet far enough away to feel like its own little fantasy. We look forward to visiting again.

The porch views were stunning, and the beach was wonderful. We spent one morning beachcombing and hated to leave our cozy retreat. Jenny's cottage was everything we expected and more. Ed met us, showed us around, and welcomed us with maps, delicious cookies, strawberries, fresh ground coffee, and more. The room was warm and cozy, with a fireplace.
