FairBridge Inn Express Tukwila

We had a decent location, but the service was awful and there were roaches both in and around the rooms. My family saw four in our room and many more outside. The listing says the front desk is open 24 hours, but staff leave at midnight and don't return until 7:30. One morning I left early with my babies, then came back before 7:30 and couldn't get a new key because nobody was there. I sat in my car for two hours waiting for help. There was also a rude man at the desk in the mornings who always had a smart mouth when I needed something. They tried to charge us for smoking, even though I'm heavily pregnant and nobody in my family smokes. The amount went from $250 to $200, then $150, $100, and finally $50. They don't seem to care about helping families and look for things to charge you for, with an attitude when you ask. The weekend woman was very sweet, though, unlike the short white man who worked mornings.

There was nobody at the desk when I arrived late at night after my flight, and nobody answered the phone. I'd called ahead to ask about checking in late, was told it would be fine, and booked based on that. When I asked for a refund, they said I was marked as a no-show and refused it. At first they claimed they must have closed at midnight on those two nights. When I called again, they denied ever saying that and said they are always open, suggesting the front desk person may have been helping someone in the rooms at 1:30 a.m. for an hour. Very strange, and very rude.

There are cockroaches in both the lobby and rooms, and I've heard of two shooting incidents in the past six months, along with constant police activity. The rooms are filthy and have mold. Housekeeping will yell if you ask for extra towels and accuse you of stealing, apparently so they can keep your deposit. Don't expect soap or extra toilet paper either. The owners seem money-hungry. There's so much wrong here I can't fit it all in one post. Avoid it if you can. Even sleeping in your car would be better. This place needs to be shut down.

The airport shuttle showed up 15 minutes late, and the lobby stays locked until 7:30, so you have to wait outside. The rooms were dirty and had stains on the walls, sheets, headboard, and towels. Breakfast was advertised, but all there was in the lobby was coffee and an empty mini fridge. For the price, it just isn't worth it.
