I've attended two meetings at the DoubleTree downtown in the past year. The meeting rooms are spacious and welcoming, and the service staff did a tremendous job. Some fixtures need minor repairs, and Tulsa's storms have left their mark on the exterior. I can't speak to the rooms myself, though two of my work colleagues have stayed here and insist on choosing this location. The bar and food service are top notch. Every drink and dish I've seen or had has been wonderful by restaurant standards.

The valet and parking deck, along with the staff's service and manners, made our stay better. Most downtown buildings are a relatively long walk away. I stayed one night in early January with family, and I'm glad our family friend chose the hotel. Our eighth-floor room was cozy, clean, and well kept, with a gorgeous panoramic view of downtown. The beds were comfortable, and both the TV and restroom worked well. It was a little confusing to have the sink and most of the bathroom space outside the bathroom door, though I can see the carpet extending to the sink area helped cut noise. At least as I remember it, there were disruptions during the night. If you can afford it, I'd happily recommend staying at the Tulsa DoubleTree.

The interior is nice and the hotel's fairly central if you want to explore downtown, but the rooms are average at best. While we were there, kids were running wild around the pool in an obnoxious way, and later those same people were disruptive, running through the hallways at night. Breakfast costs $18 per person, and parking is $28 per day. If you like Hilton properties, you'd be much better off at the location next to St. Francis Hospital. The hotel itself is okay.

Once I finally got checked in, I had a very good weeklong stay. The room was clean, the bed plush and comfortable, the location made getting around easy, and the bar service was excellent for winding down in the evening. Q at the front desk and Laramie at the bar were friendly, as were the rest of the staff. Shamika and Sarah were kind and courteous during check-in, and Amy, the front desk manager, helped move things along. The process took much longer than expected because they lacked credentials to access third-party bookings. Even after a Delta flight crew checked in within minutes, I was still waiting, but Shamika worked hard to sort it out and eventually connected with Amy. Other drawbacks: there was no microwave in the room and no ice machine on the seventeenth floor. Still, the staff helped make the stay positive despite the long check-in.

It's Valentine's Day, and I'm here with my fiancé. We have a son at home and can't get private time together, so we came to the hotel. We went out drinking, and on the way back a man tried to hit on me. My fiancé told him to back off, and we went into the hotel. We weren't loud or causing a disturbance, but five minutes after we got to the room, we received a complaint and were told we had one warning before being kicked out. I tried to explain things to the front desk, but they denied us anyway. Nobody listened or tried to understand. I understand there was a cheer competition going on, but the hotel wasn't welcoming at all. I haven't even been here 12 hours and already feel unwelcome. I feel robbed for what I paid for this horrible experience. Don't waste your time or money, they won't listen to you.
