Pacific Bay Hotel

The staff made this a wonderful hotel, even though the room didn’t have a spectacular view. Everyone was lovely, and housekeeping did an excellent job cleaning and setting up my room every day. Some parts of Hotel Tano are a bit older, but it was still very comfortable. A special thanks to Dino at the front desk for arranging a complimentary one-hour late checkout. I forgot to get the other staff members’ names, but they were wonderful too. It was my first stay, and I’ll definitely book here again starting next year. With love from Japan.

We stayed three nights in April 2026, and the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the toiletries complete. The hotel is on a quiet street and not far from restaurants. On our first night, the receptionist greeted us warmly and brought out a luggage rack to help with our bags. The manager, Jerald, was very nice and friendly. Thank you, Jerald! I noticed the bed had no headboard, but didn’t ask about it because it wasn’t an issue for me. I don’t know if all the rooms are the same. I’d stay here again when I’m in town. There’s a nearby restaurant, “The Cracked Egg,” with local breakfast dishes. The foodies are good and the prices reasonable. A hotel employee recommended it. I was satisfied with my stay.

The only snag was getting a late checkout. I emailed a few times before arriving and spoke with Dino at check-in, who said he’d follow up. When I hadn’t heard back, I asked the next evening and was directed to Axel. He didn’t seem very engaged, and the conversation was brief. We knew another guest was arriving and asked about paying for an extra room, but were simply told no, which felt like a missed opportunity. On our last day Ara said we could store our bags and use the facilities until our late-night flight. We appreciated the option, though we didn’t use it. Everything else made us happy to stay at Hotel Tano Guam, and we’ll be back since we visit Guam several times a year. Restaurants, shops, and the beach were all within walking distance. The property and rooms were clean and well kept, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, even compared with places like the Hyatt. The shower setup is a little odd and gets the bathroom floor wet, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. Dino was friendly and helpful at check-in. On our first day, we told Ara at the front desk the showerhead was broken, and she kindly had it fixed within an hour. The positives far outweighed the checkout hiccup, and we’d gladly stay again.

The staff are what made our family’s stay at Hotel Tano so memorable. On our first day, we were parked at the front with our luggage and didn’t know about the back parking and entrance. Adrian and Placido Jr helped us out, offered to take our bags inside so we could park in the main entrance lot, connected us with the front desk, and brought our things to the room while helping us settle in. The next day I met Ara, Gene, Derrick, and Mr. Dino at the front desk. Dino was always cheerful and ready to chat. They greeted my family and me with smiles every time we came through the lobby, all day, every day. That kind of consistent friendliness made the stay special. The hotel and room were pretty okay. The TANO SUITE was a great size, though a kitchen outlet didn’t work and the shower handles were falling off. Those were minor issues for me and didn’t affect the stay. Hotel problems can be fixed, but great customer service is rare, and this team really had it. I can’t thank them enough for making us comfortable. I hope to visit again, and this is where I’ll stay.
