I stay at Marriott hotels often for work, and I’m here with my family for Thanksgiving. The morning staff have been outstanding, friendly, attentive, and professional. The lobby was spotless, breakfast was great, and they made a strong first impression. The rooms were another story. There was an old coffee stain beneath the coffee maker, thick dust on our suite’s AC unit like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, and the pull-out couch mattress had a large stain and a torn spot, with no protective cover. A bottle of cleaning solution was left in the bathroom, so the room had been serviced, just not well. We needed bedding for the kids on the couch bed. After several tries to reach the front desk, I requested it through the app. They brought one pillow, one sheet, and four pillowcases. I went downstairs for help but couldn’t find anyone. I genuinely like Marriott and it’s usually my first choice for business travel. This stay has me wondering if it’s the right option for family trips. I’ve stayed in some rougher Hilton rooms, but this is the first time I’ve had an issue like this at a Marriott.

My husband and I came back on Friday December 26th 2025, after a nice weekend getaway here two years ago. This place has gone downhill. The first room had a used blanket on the floor in the closet. We reported it downstairs and were moved to a suite for the inconvenience. It looked great at a glance, so we left our luggage and went to dinner. When we got back around 9:30pm, the outlet by the sofa wouldn’t charge my phone. There was mold on the shower curtain, a long piece of brunette hair on a bathroom towel, and a sock on the bedroom closet floor. Breakfast was awful, especially the rotten fruit.

I stopped by for work with a staffing company to see Manager Sarah and Executive Housekeeper Ida. It was my first time there, and the first time meeting these lovely ladies. Kaelyn W. greeted me so kindly, with such a welcoming smile. We shared some laughs, I handed out goodies, and I’ll be stopping by to see them often. The place was clean, bathrooms too, and it’s conveniently located for leaving all the AL games, on the right side of the road and right next to I20. If you want to stay somewhere that makes you feel like family, this is it!

The room was clean, though it shows some wear and could use a little TLC. They have chargers for electric vehicles, and a good move is handing out vouchers for a faster data exchange. The wifi is deadly slow, though. It took ages just to upload these few words and one pic.
