Quality Inn Yakima near State Fair Park

The owner was very understanding when I came back late after accidentally checking out a day early because of a scheduling mix-up. She quickly restored my stay and gave me my original room back, with no trouble. I was here on a business trip, and the new management seems to be doing a great job. The room was clean, comfortable, and warm in Yakima’s freezing weather, and the shower had steady hot water. A very positive stay, and I’d recommend it.

I’ve been here over a week, and the managers have been awesome and understanding. My room was really clean at check-in, especially the floor, which looks brand new. It’s quiet at night, with no drama. Would recommend it to anyone needing a nice place to stay.

The hotel itself has been nice and quiet. My concern is the woman who came to my room recently. She didn’t introduce herself or speak to me first, then put her head inside, which felt threatening and invasive. As she left, she said the room needed inspection, even though I’d booked a week and was told at check-in that housekeeping is by request. I hadn’t made a mess or asked for housekeeping. I’m fine with management coming in when needed, but the way she did it felt forceful and uncalled for. She also told me bikes aren’t allowed in rooms, though I couldn’t find that rule in the policy or on the motel website. My bike is how I get around. I don’t know who she is, but I found her very rude to guests. I also heard her tell daytime visitors to people staying there to leave. Visitors seem normal to me, and the way she handles things feels controlling, like she’s treating adults as children or people in jail.

A great spot to catch up on sleep, with Panera nearby for a good salad. I liked the small touches, including the tiny shampoo and conditioner bottles instead of refillable pumps, plus a pen and little writing pad. Those details made the stay feel special. 10/10!
