The casino is the main draw, with a good range of table games and slots, from penny machines to high-roller machines that actually pay. There’s also a smoking room in the back and a Bingo room that’s full seven days a week, though Bingo isn’t my game. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful, and they’ll go out of their way for reasonable requests. The rooms are clean and pleasant, with basics like a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and clean linen, but they’re no-frills.

For my birthday dinner at the "Grill," I ordered the steak dinner because the price looked great. My rare steak was actually pretty good, and the buffalo chicken wings were good too, but five wings felt like a small portion for the price. The sides were disappointing: frozen vegetables and bagged mashed potatoes with a very weird, unpleasant texture. They’d been plated long before the steak was ready, so they were cold. My wife’s medium steak came out well done and very tough, almost like it had been microwaved. The worst part was the service. There was just one other table, with two guests, but my waiter was nowhere around most of the time. When I did see him, he was leaning on the front desk with the others, nearly falling asleep. I’ve worked in many restaurants and was always taught, "time to lean is time to clean." He didn’t ask if we needed drink refills, it felt like we went unnoticed, and several things I requested never arrived. I’ll never go back to this casino.

I’d stayed at this hotel before without problems, but my Christmas Day 2025 stay was a very unpleasant experience. The front desk employee, Vitalia Perez, was rude, aggressive, and unprofessional, and refused to apologize. My key wasn’t set up for the full stay, so I was locked out and had to leave my presents in bags in the hallway and come back downstairs. When I expressed that I was upset and asked her name, she called me a horrible person, said she didn’t need to apologize, and spoke to me like a small child about what to do with my key. When I asked her name, she pushed her badge toward my face, though it was attached to her necklace. After that dark, bizarre encounter, I submitted a written complaint. Another staff member said Vitalia already had four or five complaints. She also told me we’d be charged for a whole extra day if we checked out past 11:30 am. How many other people has she told that to? It didn’t feel like a resort at all. She acted like she couldn’t lose her job and kept being rude and aggressive. Someone called us in the morning to apologize for giving us the wrong checkout information. But even though we’d requested and received approval for a late checkout, staff knocked at 11 AM to ask if we were checking out, then someone else knocked again at 11:30 AM. The hotel was pretty empty, so why harass us like that? We also had too few towels and toiletries. The whole thing felt like a one-star motel in a really bad neighborhood. Very unprofessional and unpleasant. Calling this a resort is false advertising. Save your money and book somewhere else.

After 20 years, I’ve never felt so let down as I did today. What happened to the quality of food they used to serve? My plate was full, including liquid from the vegetables, but at least the vegetables were edible. The stuffing wasn’t, and the craisins, or whatever they’re called, seemed old. The sweet potatoes were mostly marshmallows, and I have a picture to prove it. I used my food allowance for the month, but if I’d had to pay for that meal, I’d have been highly pissed.
