In room #3 on 11/12/2024, I paid $100 and got no rest after a busy day, with another busy day ahead. The room smelled heavy and disgusting, and there was no fresh air. The attendant called it a non-smoked room. Noise was just as bad: the door and window had no soundproofing, and the motel sits 10 feet from the busiest, noisiest stretch of NJ 17. The owner was smart to put it there. The attendant didn't offer a room on the other side of the motel. I'm not sure that would've helped anyway. Is there any state or federal control here? This place isn't suitable for living or sleeping.

I didn't hear the Route 17 traffic from my room, despite what some other reviews said. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with a comfy bed and clean sheets. There was a microwave and refrigerator, and when I asked the front desk for shampoo, they provided it. Coffee was available in the office in the morning. I'd recommend the Fair Motel.

The housekeeper was the best part of my stay, she was really, really nice. My husband nearly slipped in the tub, though. It felt slippery from whatever they'd used to clean it. I was told it would be 75.00 to check in a little early, but when I got there I was charged 90.00. The front desk people should serve with a smile. If I'm handing over my money, I want a smile with the service.

It's nice being able to drive right up to the room and unload just a few feet from the door. The rooms are spacious, clean, and decently priced. The TV needs work, there are too few channels. I got no wake-up call from the front desk, and the room's alarm clock had no instructions. There was no soap either. The light needs improving: no dimmer, just bright or total darkness, nothing in between. Love this place!

I barely noticed road noise, even on the south side, despite how close the motel is to Rt 17. From the west side, I'd expect no noise at all. There are four or five WiFi access points to choose from, and the rooms are spacious. The showers are hot, the bed is great, and it was a quality stay at a great rate.
