I added this stay to a late hockey trip and was thrilled to find such a gem about a mile from downtown by the rink. The room, Othello, was unreal: spacious, with an amazingly comfortable bed. The bathroom ranks in my top three across roughly 25-30 B&Bs I’ve stayed in. It had a soaking claw-foot tub, but the big shower was the star, with rain, regular, and body shower heads. I stayed in there much longer than usual and took several showers a day. The robes and towels were wonderfully soft, too. Rita and Bob were super nice, and I really enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was solid, with a huge selection of tea and coffee starting at 7am. It looked and smelled great, though because of my gluten allergy they made me eggs with sides like fresh fruit and muffins. The place was beautiful from head to toe.

The owners were very nice and made our stay a pleasure. I loved this Victorian-style house, and breakfast each morning was very good and all natural. We’d definitely stay again if we make it back to Utica.

My wife and I stayed for two nights two years ago, and we had great hospitality and an absolutely outstanding breakfast. One evening we went to a wonderful play at Utica's Stanley Theatre. Even just admiring that magnificent historic theatre is worth the price of admission.

The breakfasts were creative and fresh, with scrumptious options, excellent coffee, and a wide selection of fine teas. The accommodations are beautiful and close to downtown. Very highly recommended!

We had to cut our motorcycle trip short because of bad weather, so we booked this place at the last minute for the last night of our honeymoon. I’m so glad we found it. Our Othello room was clean, comfortable, and nicely updated while still nodding to the home’s history. The bathroom was beautifully renovated, and the shower was one of the best I’ve ever used. The building itself is large, charming, and decorated with period pieces throughout. The owners were kind, friendly, and clearly put effort into making guests’ stays enjoyable. They knew the area’s restaurants well, and there were coffee and tea stations on each floor where you could make your own, plus small refrigerators for guests to use. Breakfast was simple but hearty and tasty: chocolate banana muffins, mandarins, and breakfast burritos. The accommodation was very reasonably priced, too. We’ll definitely stay here again if we’re back in the area.
