Holiday Inn Express St. Paul Ne (vadnais Heights)

I won this free night through work, and my husband and I stayed here last night. The woman at the front desk had a bad attitude, with no smile or welcome. After dinner at Jimmys, we came back to find the TV had no channels and the remotes didn't work. Nicole helped us and was very nice. Around 6 am, doors started slamming and woke us up, then kept doing it all morning, so we got up and left without sleeping. Maybe it was because the room was free, but the blanket was dirty and the pillows were awful and smelled like dog. I had to buy room spray from Walmart! When I returned the keys at checkout, the same woman was at the desk. I wished her a great weekend and she just said “YUP.” So rude!

There was a great bar connected to the hotel, and they had bingo the night we stayed. The food was really good, and our room was clean. The front desk staff were extremely friendly.

The staff were professional and helped make our wedding stay a great one. Breakfast was excellent too, and the whole visit felt easy and worry-free.

We were woken at 6am by the cleaning staff starting really early, which took away from sleeping in on vacation. That was the only reason for 4 stars. The rooms were nice and clean, and the staff were kind and courteous. The pool was clean, and the hot tub was relaxing. Having it connected to the restaurant was really convenient. The food was fantastic, happy hour was bomb, and the continental breakfast was well stocked with lots of choices. I highly recommend it.
