Bluegreen Vacations Streamside at Vail, Ascend Collection Resort

The rooms are roomy, and our loft had two double beds upstairs, a king bedroom, a pullout sofa in the living room, and three full bathrooms. The kitchen had the equipment we needed, but bring your own spices, salt, and pepper. This is a solid place to stay, especially when its prices are lower than competitors'. Staff were friendly, and there's a frequent shuttle to Lionshead Village, a 3-4 minute walk from the Eagle Gondola. After skiing, though, you may have to wait in the afternoon because the shuttle is often full. Free outdoor parking is near registration. Bluegreen guests should know the Cedar building has no elevator, so you may have to climb three flights. There's a ski locker on the Cedar main floor that fits up to two pairs of skis and a helmet. In the main building, there's a sauna, pool, and several hot tubs. The pool was warm, but could use some work to stay clean. Overall, it's a great place to stay.

The resort itself was great, though we visited in the off season and there wasn't much to do. We were fine with that. Leaving was the hard part. There were no luggage carts because people take them to their rooms at night, and the front desk wasn't available. So we made several trips with our bags. At 71 and 67, dealing with the high altitude we're not used to made that tough. If it happens at another resort, I'll call every room, so please play nice. I hope I don't have to waste time calling and ruin both our vacations.

Our suite had so much room, and this is one of the best hotels in the Bluegreen family. From our chalet-like building, it was only a few steps to an outdoor hot tub, then a short walk to the basketball and racquetball court. My boy and I loved swimming from the indoor pool to its outdoor deep end. There were two more hot tubs, a sauna, a steam room, and an Xbox/PS game room with ping pong. A perfect mountain getaway for a dad and son, but we'll NEED to bring the whole family next time.

I loved the tram, and the morning staff were kind and helped when I was sick. The hotel itself is nice and has good amenities, but service was rude at night. I’m disabled, and there’s no elevator in the Cedar building. My boyfriend had hurt his knees and still had to climb five flights of stairs. We also only got about 15 minutes of hot water, though my husband and I showered together. A couple of things here definitely need attention.
