Lift House Lodge

The owner’s response is dishonest. We booked a premium room but were put in a standard one, and a premium room was never offered as an alternative. I also never said I loved the room. It was small and dated. This response confirms my impression of lift house. Don’t stay here. Parking was another problem. We had to pay for a spot in a first-come, first-served lot, but there was no space for us because people were parked there illegally. Management refused to have those cars towed.

The location is amazing: about 300 feet from bahn 1 gondola, with a supermarket, the free in-town shuttle, alpine pizza, and lots of restaurants nearby. The interior is dated, and for that reason alone the price shouldn’t be so high. Still, the location is the big draw.

We could easily walk to Lions head or Vail Village from here. The person at the lobby was incredibly kind and helpful, even finding us a parking spot that saved us money and helping with our luggage.

The room worked really well for two. It had a comfortable bed, an updated bathroom, and a nicely updated kitchenette with pans and utensils. We liked having breakfast on the balcony when we weren't going to the nearby Diner. The place was lively during the day but quiet in the evenings.
