Late March was pretty icy when we visited, but Lionshead Village is a good place to stay if you have the Epic Pass. It's right by Vail Village and has a relaxed resort feel, with plenty of hotels and places to stroll. Parking was fairly convenient: the first hour was free, then it cost about $10 an hour.

The village is gorgeous, with lots of shops, and it’s in a very convenient spot for browsing them. After a day of skiing, it’s a lovely place to walk with the family. Just remember your wallet.
