The rooms were spacious and clean, with a great bathroom and good water pressure. There’s a heated pool and hot tub on the rooftop, plus amazing afternoon cookies and really good pastries at breakfast. You can walk to the ski lift in 5 minutes. The hotel is in the center of town, and the central bus terminal is also a 5-minute walk away. From there, it’s about a 20-minute bus ride to Beavercreek.

I booked months ahead and paid a $500 deposit, but after my fiancé and I broke up, I couldn’t afford the trip anymore. I contacted the hotel well in advance to cancel and asked to get my deposit back. They refused, even though I believe they’ll be able to book the room again. Daniel, the manager, was rude and showed no empathy. I also tried contacting the general manager, Ben, several times, but he hasn’t called me back or responded. I’m extremely disappointed with the Sitzmark Hotel in Vail. This place seems more concerned with keeping the money than treating customers well. Life happens, and I think a reasonable business would work with someone cancelling months ahead because of an unexpected personal hardship. I’d strongly advise people not to book unless they’re willing to risk losing hundreds of dollars whatever happens. Edit: They replied by calling this a “last-minute cancellation,” but I cancelled over two months in advance. They’re already sold out for my dates, and they want to keep my money and sell the room again. The ongoing rudeness and disrespect during my grief says a lot about how they may treat you if life hands you a horrible blow and this hotel was part of your plans. Please don’t give this greedy establishment any money.

We were welcomed by friendly, helpful staff and found a bottle of wine and a handwritten welcome note in our room. There were two queen beds and a comfortable pullout, so my sons, who were 18 and 20, and I all had space. We came in January, and the Sitzmark was the perfect place for a long weekend in Vail. Being right in the heart of Vail Village made it easy to get to shopping, restaurants, nightlife, and the gondola, all just steps away. Breakfast in the lobby was a great way to fuel up before skiing, and warm cookies straight from the oven were a treat at the end of the day. I can’t say enough good things about the Sitzmark Vail. Can’t wait to go back!

It has a small, old-school mountain town feel, with Vail mountains right at your doorstep, and getting in and out is easy. Rooms can have balconies and views of the village, creek, or mountains. The hotel is right in the heart of Vail Village, with friendly staff and personal service. Every staff member went above and beyond. Breakfast each day was delicious, and the freshly baked cookies were great. You can book through Hilton too.

That bed was so comfortable, and the blankets were too. I don’t like firm mattresses, so it was perfect for me and honestly made it hard to get up in the morning. The Sitzmark Hotel has a cozy, welcoming feel, with nice touches like fresh cookies every day at 3 pm, continental breakfast included, and hot chocolate available all day. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful, especially the two older gentlemen at the front desk. I wish I could remember their names. We had a great stay, and the comfort and hospitality really stood out.
