We liked the easy parking, and the attached restaurant was a real bright spot. The guys working there gave such good customer service, and we appreciated them. There’s no breakfast, though, and nowhere nearby to get food, so plan ahead. The TV had just two channels, which left very little to do in the evening. The inn is conveniently located and affordable, and the bed was surprisingly okay. But you get what you pay for: no hair dryer, iron, closet, spare pillows, or extra blankets, and winter nights get cold. The bathroom door creaked loudly whenever someone used it, all night long. The toilet wouldn’t flush when we arrived. There’s no phone in the room to call the front desk, so we called instead and asked maintenance to come check it. They told us to go back to the front and change rooms. We’d already hauled all our things upstairs, and it was frustrating that nobody could simply be sent to look at the toilet.

The bed in our first room was uncomfortable enough that we could feel the springs. We told Dane, who sent us to the front desk, and Mrs switched us right away to another room with two very comfortable king beds. They handled it quickly and kindly, with no fuss, and we’d stay again. That first room was spotless, honestly one of the cleanest motel rooms I’ve seen, and it even smelled fresh. The customer service, especially from Dane, was friendly and very helpful.

We were grateful they let us stay even though we’re not yet old enough to book at most hotels. For $79.99, we mainly needed a place to sleep during our road trip, and the room was okay for that. The beds were clean and we liked them, which matters most to me. We’ve definitely stayed in worse places. There were several problems, though. The toilet didn’t flush, the tub drained badly and was overflowing, and there was women’s hair on the shower curtain and black hair on the tub floor. The main entrance light didn’t work, just the lamps and bathroom light did, and there was a lot of spackle on the ceiling. The TV was old, blurry, and had only a few channels. The woman who checked us in was very kind.

We only came for dinner, not a hotel stay, but would definitely stay here instead of Williams town, which is another 30 minutes away. The restaurant made us feel at home, like family. Great service and fantastic food. The Western burger was excellent, and the fried mushrooms were even better.
