Discovery Inn Vallejo I 80 Near Napa CA

I found out the hard way that many rooms can't be booked because they're being renovated under the new management. Travel sites don't mention that, even though the new team has tried to tell them the property can't accommodate guests.

I heard the boys in Black with the three-letter agency ending in Investigation were in. These rooms are run down, and with a roach infestation too, I wouldn't feel comfortable staying here. That was the final straw for me.

My service dog is a lab mix trained over two years to alert me to seizures and low blood sugar from diabetes. He heels, goes potty on command, wears a working dog vest asking people not to touch him, and has an ID card, emergency contact details, current vet information, and a microchip. He's groomed weekly and doesn't shed, which is part of why I chose a poodle mix for its intelligence, size, and lower shedding and dander. The woman manager was rude, unbearable, and racist. She refused to accept my certified service dog, not a fake one, and I believe that was discriminatory. Refusing me a room because of pet hair is illegal. I'll be filing a complaint with the city, and this place should be fined for not being ADA compliant.

We stayed a week and only got fresh towels twice and toilet paper twice. The manager seemed more concerned about towels we left outside or in the garbage, which housekeeping should be taking out anyway. The room was tiny, so cramped it almost hurt to breathe, and really outdated. The AC couldn't push air to the other side of the bed. NOT IMPRESSED.
