Quality Inn & Suites

A few people at the front desk were nice and helpful, but that was about the only positive. My key cards stopped working after one use, and it took maintenance four days to fix the bathroom mirror that had fallen off. During my 11-day stay, the trash was never taken out, towels weren't replenished, and I had to ask the front desk for more. I also had to complain after four days because the room hadn't been cleaned, and housekeeping didn't change the bedding at all. There's nothing quality about this Quality Inn. I'd call it Garbage Inn. I'll never stay there again, and I'm going to contact corporate.

The staff were friendly and the lobby looked fine, but the empty parking lot made us wonder if something was wrong. We had driven nine hours and were tired of searching for rooms at other hotels, so we decided to stay anyway. The room explained the empty lot: the bathroom was dirty, some towels were stained, and the shower tiles had pink mold. There were crumbs and stains on the carpet, plus a stain on the sofa. The TV didn't work properly and the beds were uncomfortable. I travel a lot, and this was one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. It wasn't worth it, and I wish I'd known before booking.

The breakfast needs work. It was very basic and limited, though they did have a waffle maker. More fruit, sausage for egg sandwiches, real cream, better coffee, yogurt, and other options would help. We ate there once, then went out the other morning. We chose the hotel because the price was reasonable. It's older but still nice enough, and the rooms were large, clean, and acceptable. Our first room hadn't been made up after the previous guest, but they gave us another and apologized, which was fine. A better breakfast would have made this a four-star stay.

The room really should have been cleaner. Dust covered the floor lamp so thickly you could write in it, and the top of the air conditioner control panel was dirty, so I wiped it down before using it. There were cobwebs in the bathroom and along the wall by my parents' bed, and black and pink mold spots across the bottom of the shower curtain. Outside our room, the guest entrance was littered with cigarette butts. We stopped counting at 100, and instead of seeing the green bushes, we got cigarette smoke and butts everywhere. The door was never locked, so anyone could walk in at any time. That felt like a security issue. Dead bugs were on the floor by the main entrance for three days before anyone cleaned them up. Rhianna at the front desk was great and tried to fix what we needed, but we were very disappointed. We won't recommend this hotel to family visiting Indiana.
