Even with renovations underway, my family and I had a wonderful stay. The place was safe, clean, and smelled good, and our room was beautiful and comfortable. I slept better than I usually do in a hotel. Breakfast is simple, but it fills hungry bellies. The owners were friendly and welcoming. With our four kids, they spared us the usual dreaded look and lecture about a deposit, something we've unfortunately run into often on our travels. Van Buren Inn is a diamond in the rough. After such a pleasant stay, we wouldn't consider going elsewhere in Van Buren.

Service was friendly, and they took care of our needs quickly. The rooms are cozy and clean, too. But maintenance needs more attention: the guest laundry wasn't working, some refrigerators don't work, and the outside door frame in my room desperately needed repair. They really need a maintenance person!

The front desk woman welcomed us and was extremely nice, and my stay at this Quality Inn was enjoyable. The rooms were clean and nice, with all the amenities I could want or need. Breakfast was the one letdown. It was free, so I guess I can't complain too much, but I wasn't a fan of the juice, coffee, or eggs.

The woman at the front desk was as sweet as could be, and the housekeepers were very nice. We enjoyed our stay and might come back if the place gets some repairs and extra cleaning. On our first visit, there were different owners. That first night we saw quite a few roaches and found fleas in our bed. We bought flea spray and didn't see any more after that. The pool needs work, the bathroom sinks clog, and they need bathtub plugs so kids can take a bath.

Our one-night visit unexpectedly became a last-minute two-night stay, and I was upset and having a hard time with it. The front desk clerk quickly got me the exact room we'd been in, and had me laughing when I hadn't thought I'd be laughing at all. The woman cleaning rooms stopped what she was doing and helped me get back in and settled quickly. They're such helpful, genuinely nice people. I'll definitely stay again.
