Inn On The Beach

We loved the continental breakfast and the fact that the hotel doesn’t feel packed with gift shops and vending machines. There are plenty of those nearby anyway. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were wonderfully kind, and being right on the ocean made this the best staycation we’ve ever had. It felt like traveling far away, even though the hotel is so close to Ventura’s east end. Such a peaceful break from the suburbs.

My wife and I have lived in Ventura for 25 years, and we treated ourselves to a staycation on Seaward Avenue, where we already enjoy the restaurants. From our second-floor balcony the view was amazing, and we went to sleep listening to the waves after a beautiful sunset and dinner at an Italian place across the street. The room was comfortable, and I loved the little gas fireplace on a timer. Jay, the manager, was helpful when I stopped by for continental breakfast, and we had a nice chat about Seaward and the area. This small beachside hotel is at the end of the avenue, looking toward the islands and just down from Ventura Pier. I’ll recommend it to people visiting from out of town.

The rooms and bathrooms were decent and clean, and breakfast was average. There are lots of food options around the neighborhood. The hotel is right on the beach, a great spot for sunsets and the morning ocean breeze.

The second-floor room was comfortable, and we had a nice porch with a great beach view. The hot water took a long time to warm up. Wi-Fi was a little weak, and the TV needed an internet connection to work.
