Microtel Inn Suites by Wyndham Claremore Hotel

The suite was a good choice for the extra space, especially at the very good price for workers. I stayed at Microtel Inn & Suites in Claremore for over 2 months on a work trip, and the staff were helpful and friendly from check-in through check-out. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and everything worked as it should. The place felt safe and comfortable, and it was quiet at night. Being right off Route 66 was convenient, and breakfast made it easy to get on the road in the morning. I’d choose this Microtel again when I’m back in Claremore for work.

The toilet seat had period blood and poop stains, and the place was a mess with what looked like floor work going on. It smelled strongly of paint, and everything felt sketchy. We tried to put that aside and rest before a wedding the next day. Then, at 2am, a man banged on our door 5 VERY LOUD times and kept doing it without stopping for 20 minutes. He yelled and screamed, called our room at least 5 times, and said, “i know your in there come out”. He unlocked the door from outside and put his whole arm inside, trying to unlock our door. We called the cops. He said he was looking for someone and didn’t know anyone was in the room. I’m an underage woman, and I was terrified. He sounded angry and frustrated, not just curious, and I was seriously afraid I was about to be assaulted. I still feel paranoid. Please never come here.

I liked the minimizing room option, with a comfortable couch for sitting and watching tv, and the window seat was a nice touch. My room was very comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the rates were great. I was traveling with a pet, and the pet rate was very reasonable.

I was here about 5 years ago and it was very nice, but this time the maintenance seemed clearly neglected. The door was so crooked that, even closed, I could see the wall across the hall. There were roaches in the cabinets, and the cabinet doors were barely hanging on. The water pressure compressor was very noisy and made the walls vibrate. We left 2 days early and went somewhere I could actually sleep. It was very noisy. I have pictures of the issues, but can’t add them here.
