The sunsets were spectacular, and the location was peaceful while still being very close to Middlebury and Burlington. We had an amazing weekend at the Whitford House. The spacious guest house had plenty of room, a king-size bed, and both a shower and a clawfoot tub. Our hosts were responsive and very accommodating.

Jeff and Mary Jane were such lovely hosts, sweet and attentive, and a pleasure to talk with. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, and the property and view were breathtaking. I love Vermont, especially the Champlain Valley, and I'm so happy to have found another place I love in the Whitford House. It's a chance to stay somewhere special and explore the area.

Jeff made our stay easy with thoughtful suggestions, including hidden gems we wouldn't have found otherwise. The guest cottage was quiet, comfortable, and beautifully furnished, and we loved the local breakfast each morning. We also enjoyed chatting with Jeff and learning about the area. Whitford House was a splendid place to recharge while exploring Southern Vermont's quaint towns, and we'd highly recommend it. Looking forward to coming back.

Our rental cancelled just two days before we were due in Vermont for a wedding, and Jeff saved our weekend away. We stayed in the quaint, rustic barn, with spectacular views. It was the most relaxing place we've ever been, and Jeff was an amazing host. We can't wait to visit again.

We needed to stay near family in Middlebury, about 20 minutes away, and the Whitford House guesthouse was a perfect fit for our four-night visit. The beautifully maintained grounds offered lovely views of Vermont's Green Mountains. Jeff and Mary Jane made breakfast and showed excellent hospitality; we also enjoyed conversations with the other guests. It's a beautiful, friendly place, well located for seeing how Vermonters live and enjoy the landscape every day. I can assure you that a stay at Whitford House or the Twin View Barn won't disappoint. Excellent recommendation.
