New Budget Inn

Good location and nice people. I stayed two nights. The first room was okay, but the second had black mold growing and rusty towel racks in the bathroom. Other than that, it was okay.

There was a dope pipe in the garbage where my son could reach it, and I saw housekeeping going through someone's phone on the nightstand while they were out. I told the person when they came back. The staff were extremely rude and disrespectful of personal space and boundaries, and the customer service needs evaluating. I've never been treated so poorly in a motel. Residents weren't allowed to talk to each other, not even to say hello. I asked for a non-smoking room because I have a child and don't smoke around him, but they put us in a smoking room because of my service dog, which I could understand. Then they told me to smoke inside. I left the door open so the air wouldn't get stale and nasty, but was told to stay inside and shut it. My son's father visits for an hour each day wherever I'm staying, and they said there'd be a $20 visitor fee. I said he might as well stay with us then. Every other motel I've stayed at has let visitors come without a fee, and having another adult stay has only cost me $5 to $10 per adult. They shouldn't charge for a service animal. A deposit would be understandable, with the money returned after checking for damage, but this place doesn't do that. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with children or pets, or for more than a day if you're just passing through. I'd recommend Red Roof Inn, Hesperia Inn, now renamed The Thrifty Motel, or another motel or hotel instead.

This was the worst place we've ever stayed. The remote didn't work, some light bulbs were missing, and the toilet seat was broken. The man at check-in was rude and mean. We'd already paid by credit card, so we felt we had to stay. People yelled and played loud music overnight, paramedics showed up, and by the time we left police had arrived too. The man walked around the lot watching and scolding guests who were leaving, and he was very hostile. One guest said he'd added charges to their card for silly reasons. Be very careful here, he treated us like criminals. There was even a security camera that rotated to face the rooms, and he watched everything.

I paid $200 for one night, including the room, deposit, and tax. Then they told me I wasn't allowed to have any guests during my stay. Not even my ride, who drove me two hours to my destination, could rest for an hour before driving home. I couldn't believe they were telling me that.
