Hurricane Milton is about to hit and we have nowhere to sleep. We drove ten hours through traffic after booking a room on Priceline and prepaying $222, only to learn the manager had given our room away. The maid told us that. The sheets were as white as any I’ve seen in a hotel or motel, and the towels were fluffy and smelled good. There’s no carpet, which is a plus. Our Service dog didn’t sniff every nook and cranny, unlike at the 4+ star hotel in Daytona Beach last week, where we paid $200 for a cockroach-infested room.
