Diamond the Ridge on Sedona Golf Resort (1546

The rooms are roomy, comfortable, and clean, and the midweek cleaning was nice. Our one bedroom lockout unit had a washer and dryer. We weren't near the pools or hot tubs, but that didn't matter to us. If they'd ease up on the sales pitch, the stay would be even better.

The pools and hot tubs are spread around the property, and after a long hiking day it was lovely to soak under the stars. The location is convenient for restaurants, shopping, and hiking. We really enjoyed the stay and look forward to coming back to Sedona. Our spacious one bedroom unit felt more like a vacation rental than a hotel room. It had recently been updated with brand new furniture, appliances, and carpet. Everything was very clean, and the full kitchen had all we needed to cook breakfast every morning.

The room was clean, the bathroom was large, and the shower had plenty of hot water. The location was okay for an early start, with an easy drive to the trailheads. But getting into town after about 10am was a nightmare because of traffic, so I'd stay here only if I wanted to do activities early and not go out much at night. There isn't a restaurant on site, and food delivery wasn't reliable. Without a kitchen, we had to drive out for takeaway since Uber is very scarce, eat in the Oak Creek area, or spend a long time in traffic, over 20+ mins extra on the drive. If you want to go out for dinner, stay closer to town so you can walk. The bed was awful. The mattress was thin and shook whenever either of us so much as breathed, and the aircon was incredibly noisy. We had to wear earplugs to sleep. The sofa wasn't comfortable either. Probably one of the worst Hilton's I've stayed in.

The staff were friendly and shared information about the area. This is a nice place with very nice accommodations, close to dining and shopping and within easy distance of many popular attractions. I visited during a cold snap, so unfortunately I couldn't enjoy the pool. One downside: there was no garbage can in the room or condo, and no alarm clock like you'd find anywhere else.
