Lambert's Cove Hideaway

The quiet rooms were a real plus, even with the inn full. We slept soundly, and having a parking space right outside was convenient. The inn itself is sunny and lovely, with a welcoming room to relax in, and check-in and checkout were easy. Our spacious room had a private bath, cable TV, a very comfortable bed, soft sheets, fluffy linens and robes, and plenty of closet space. It was spotless and bright, with a small fridge, toiletries, a hair dryer, and a makeup mirror. Judy and Steve greeted us when we arrived, and were around at breakfast to take orders and answer questions. They know the restaurants and area well and offer useful suggestions when asked. The home-cooked breakfast was delicious, and coffee and cookies were available all day. They even left cookies for me and banana bread for my husband to take home after we mentioned how much we liked them. Guests get a pass to private Lambert's Cove Beach, about a 10-minute walk away. Beach towels and a bag are provided, and there are chairs and bicycles to use. Steve can drive you down if he's available. The location is peaceful and away from the traffic in other parts of the Vineyard. We loved the personal, homey feel and plan to return next year.
